You know me, I LOVE saving some green and using as few chemicals as possible on my skin so I am ALL about some homemade beauty treatments. Tonite I’m going to tackle skincare on a budget, cause let’s face it, I’m broke as a joke and the spa is completely out of the question! I honestly don’t even know where one is so it’s all at home or nothin’ for this chick! Most of the treatments I’m going to recommend can be done with stuff ya probably already have in your kitchen!

*Tip* When washing your face, start with warm water to open pores allowing the cleanser to get in then rinse with cold water to close and tighten the pores to keep dirt out and maintain a fresher appearance.

1. Coconut oil moisturizing treatment/make-up remover–
It’s anti bacterial first off, so as it is moisturizing your skin it isn’t clogging up your pores like most moisturizers. You can apply it to blemishes and it will make them heal faster. It also softens the skin. Coconut oil has also been said to work as an anti aging treatment and above all, it is ALL NATURAL. Can be used everyday as often as you would like.
2. Egg White Face Mask–
The whites of eggs can help to tighten your skin! The egg whites reduce pore size and improve the skin’s texture and tone. Leave on until dry and rinse with warm water. You can do this mask once per week.
3. Brown Sugar and Olive Oil Exfoliator–
This one is pretty self explanatory, just use a Tbsp or so of olive oil and a Tbsp of brown sugar. Mix together and gently rub on the skin. Avoid the eye area. Use once every one or two weeks.
4. Honey & Apple Cider Vinegar Facial–
Mix 2 Tbsp of Honey with 2 Tbsp of Apple cider vinegar. Apply to face and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse with luke warm water and then follow with a cool rinse. This mask is said to heal and moisturize the skin.
5. Sour Cream, Lemon, & Honey Mask–
I know, I know, it sounds completely crazy but sour cream is another item in your fridge that can compete with some of those fancy shmancy high end spas! Mix 2 Tbsp of honey, 2 Tbsp sour cream, & 1 Tbsp of lemon juice. Leave on for 5 minutes and rinse with warm water. This mask is said to fade acne marks, and heal, brighten, and moisturize the skin.
6. Oatmeal & Yogurt Moisturizing Mask–
Mix 1 Tbsp of plain yogurt, 1 Tbsp of ground oatmeal, & a few drops of warm honey. Leave on skin for 10 minute and rinse with warm water.
